"For this reason they are before the throne of God,
and worship him day and night within his temple" (Rev 7:15a)
I invite you to reflect for a moment on your worship experiences. Then take time to offer a comment on what worship means to you. Specifically, what is your ideal worship setting, practice, and style? Or, what is essential for you for an experience to be authentic worship?

John,
This is a great way to get feedback for those that use a computer and a way to contact those that have been away for a while. Ideal setting informal, with scripture readings time to reflect upon those readings and to give glory to God by being attentive to sermons, joys and concerns and offering service and monetary to carry out God's work.
Never blogged before!!!!
thanks for taking time to comment. I hope this will be a place where people will feel comfortable reflecting and communicating. God Bless, and spread the word.
Hi Pastor John. This is really neat. I have never blogged before either. I agree with Charlie, excellent way to share ideas and very convenience with everyone's busy schedule. I look forward to the posting of ideas for the "Back to School celebration". Thank you!
Okay, well the only draw back is when you have a typo and don't pay attention! I meant "convenient" in my previous posting! :)
An ideal worship experience to me is delivering God's word in a positive setting where people feel comfortable with each other. Church should not be a place to judge each other, only share in the love and friendship. Don't dwell on the past, just move forward.
Worship to me is a time to give back to God and reflect on the blessings he has bestowed on you that week. My ideal setting is a place that allows me to both interact with fellow worshipers and meditate on my own, trying to hear what God has to say to me that week. While Sunday Service is my main form of worship, I try to start each day with some quiet worship time. I like it best when that can be outside because it is so easy to find all the amazing wonders of God's creation. I have learned that if you are quiet enough, God will speak, no matter the type of pastor, music, or church family. Shocking.... I have the longest response so far- Its the Rudolph blood I guess.
Worship to me is a relective time to listen and hear what God wishes to reveal to me and at the same time reveals his truths to others around me. It is a time were I am grateful for his love for me. That even though I am not perfect he extends his hand out to me to pick me up and hold me in his arms in times that I need him most. Worship is a time to praise God in song and to lift up all the wonderful mercies he has given me and my family.
Best Said in the words of a MercyMe song:
"Word of God speak, would you pour down like rain, causing my eyes to see you majesty, to be still and know that your in this place, Please let me stay and rest in your holiness, Word of God Speak"
